Malakasa Refugee Hosting Center

From the activity of MSc students at the Malakasa Refugee Hosting Center, 8/11/2019. The team collaborated with the Refugee Education Coordinator, Mr. Kostas Kalemis, and Mrs. Irini Vassiliadou from the Reception and Identification Service of the Ministry of Citizen Protection. For the Malakasa Kindergarten – Annex of the Refugee Hosting Center, a discussion circle was held with Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Maria-Nefeli Androulakaki and Nursery Teachers Mrs. Vasiliki Ferentinou, Mrs. Polyxeni Bousiouti, and Mrs. Irini Christodoulou. The activity was supported by Mrs. Vasiliki Papadopoulou, Coordinator of Educational Work PE70, 5th PEKES of Attica.

The team was accompanied and guided by representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mr. Stefanos Gerontoukos and Mr. Dimitris Tsesmelis. Visit and tour at the Malakasa Kindergarten – Annex of the Refugee Hosting Center, with Kindergarten Teacher Mrs. Maria-Nefeli Androulakaki and Nursery Teachers Mrs. Vasiliki Ferentinou, Mrs. Polyxeni Bousiouti, and Mrs. Irini Christodoulou. The activity was conducted in collaboration with Mrs. Vasiliki Papadopoulou, Coordinator of Educational Work PE70, 5th PEKES of Attica.

Spastics Protection Society “Open Door”

From the work of MSc students during their internship at the Spastics Protection Society “Open Door”, 25/10/2019. Touching moments with President Daphne Oikonomou, Athina Stylianidou from the ANTHIZO Workshop, Social Worker Dimitris Papas, Physiotherapist Katerina Spyridaki, and the teaching and workshop staff. Participation in the wonderful celebration of the Kindergarten at OPEN DOOR.

Ralleia Experimental Primary Schools

A group of MSc students, as part of their internship, at the Ralleia Experimental Primary Schools of the Department of Primary Education, University of Athens, Wednesday 23/10/2019. Work in Creative Activities Clubs, Choir and Theatrical Expression, Rhetoric, and participation in an open STEM workshop titled “Following the Bees” of the Robotics–STEAM Club. Collaboration with teachers Theodoros Korakas, Kalliopi Kerkyra, Argyro Bourou, Angeliki Theodosi, and the school principal, Vasilis Panopoulos.

1st Special Primary School of Kallithea

Practical training of MSc students as part of their internship at the 1st Special Primary School of Kallithea, Friday 18/10/2019. Guided tour by Mrs. Maria Aktypi, Head of the 1st Special Kindergarten of Kallithea, and Mr. Kostas Andrianopoulos, Director of the 1st Special Primary School. Experiential activities, music and movement games, and art workshops with educators Dora Otapassidou (Speech Therapist) and Alexandra Makri (Art Educator).
