Dr Ntina (Nadia) Kourmousi is a Laboratory Teaching Staff Member of “Health and Psychosocial Health Promotion in Education” at the Department of Education of the School of Pedagogical & Technological Education (ASPETE), Athens, Greece. Having completed her studies as a preprimary schoolteacher, she received master’s degrees in “Applied Public Health” from the Greek National School of Public Health and in “Stress Management and Health Promotion” from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her PhD thesis for the University of Ioannina is about social-emotional skills’ school programs.
She is the author of the Greek school mental health promotion programs “Steps for life” (K & Elementary 1-3) and has also authored other books and scientific papers on topics related to students’ and teachers’ mental health. In collaboration with the Early Childhood Education Department of the University of Ioannina she has conducted multiple training seminars and workshops on students’ and teachers’ psycho-social empowerment, at the invitation of competent bodies.
