University of West Attica offers two (2) different wireless networks:
- One network is named (SSID) eduroam, implements user authentication through the IEEE 802.1x standard and provides encryption.
- while the other network has a name (SSID) uniwa_hotspot, it works with the logic of Hotspots, does not provide security in data transfer but much easier access to users who either have difficulty implementing the necessary settings required by the IEEE 802.1x standard or not they are particularly interested in data transfer security.
The two wireless networks cover all the building facilities of the institution: the three campuses (1, 2 & 3), as well as the remote buildings.
