Course Tutors
The course aims to provide theoretical knowledge, understanding of contemporary trends and future perspectives, and the practical application of knowledge and theory in the design, organization, and evaluation of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning programs.
Students are expected to:
- Delve into the fundamental—and especially modern—theories of adult education.
- Understand the socio-economic function of adult education within the national and European framework.
- Comprehend the application of the principles and methods of adult education,
- the coordination of the learning group, and the design, organization, and evaluation of adult education programs.
- Acquire the necessary knowledge for the planning, structuring, organization, and evaluation of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning programs, as well as the organizational structures of Adult Education in the EU, including activities, programs, promotion of local initiatives and funding, and statistical data on adult education, vocational training, and lifelong learning across member states.
- Apply innovative educational practices and techniques for coordinating groups of adult learners.
- Analyze and interpret phenomena such as the contribution of Adult Education and Lifelong Learning to addressing social exclusion, unemployment, and the promotion of personal and professional development and well-being.
