In the 1stand 2nd Semesters of the IPPS, courses are conducted (face to face or through modern distance education), for all (three) specializations.

In the 3rd and 4th Semesters the courses are specialized, depending on the degree specialization (“Pre-school education”, “Primary/Secondary education”, “Inclusive education”).

In the 4th Semester an Internship and/or Diploma Thesis is implemented, according to the curriculum of each specialization.

During their studies, students are required to attend courses, carry out practical exercises and/or prepare a diploma thesis, with the aim of assembling 120 ECTS necessary for the completion of their postgraduate studies and for their graduation.

Furthermore,

  • The courses of Inter-University of Postgraduate Program are conducted in the Greek language.
  • IPPS Students receive thirty (30) ECTS per semester.
  • The Diploma Thesis corresponds to fifteen (15) ECTS and its elaboration is mandatory in the specializations “Pre-school Education” and “Inclusive Education“, is submitted during the second year of study and is supported before a three-member examination committee.

Every IPPS Student of the 2nd Semester of Studies is obliged to choose in addition to three compulsory courses (ΜΥ.2.1, ΜΥ.2.3 and ΜΥ.2.4) and one of two (2) offered elective courses (ΜΕΥ.2.2.1 ή ΜΕΥ.2.2.2) in order to complete the required number of thirty (30) credit units of the semester.

During the 3rd Semester of Studies:

  • in “Preschool Education” and “Inclusive Education” degree specializations the courses are mandatory for all IPPS Students, without the possibility of choice.
  • in “Primary / Secondary Education” degree specialization, IPPS Students can choose, in addition to the compulsory specialization course (MYK.3.2.1), two or three courses out of the five (5) offered specialization courses (MEK). 3.2.2.1, MEK.3.2.2.2, MEK.3.2.2.3, MEK.3.2.2.4, MEK.3.2.2), in order to complete the required number of thirty (30) credits of the semester.

During the 4th Semester of study:

  • IPPS Students of “Pre-School Education” and “Inclusive Education” specializations are obliged to implement the second part of the Internship and to Diploma Thesis.
  • IPPS Students “Primary/Secondary Education” specialization are invited to choose, in addition to the mandatory Internship (MYK.4.2.1), the preparation of a Diploma Thesis (MEK.4.2.2.1) or the course “Practical Exercise – Lessons” (MEK.4.2.2.2.2).

In addition, during the second year of Studies, all IPPS Students can choose, in addition to the courses of their specialization, if they wish, up to two courses from another direction, free of charge.
